Rep. Thomas Massie: Hey Democrats, if you Want Legal Marijuana, Drop the ‘Politicized’ MORE Act, and Have a Vote on a ‘Straight Up Clean’ Bill

by Adam Dick Two years back, when Republicans held the majority in the United States House of Representatives, Rep. Thomas Massie was criticizing the failure of the House Republican leadership to allow a vote of the House membership on ending the US government’s marijuana prohibition, which Massie predicted would have passed. Massie further argued that the Republicans could have maintained their majority in the House — lost in the November of 2018 general election — if leadership had just allowed a House floor vote on the popular proposition that marijuana policy be left up to the states. Now, after nearly two years of a Democratic majority and Democratic leadership in the House, Massie is criticizing the continued absence of a legalization vote on the House floor. In part...

‘Time To Mute The President’: Former Twitter and Google Executive Calls For Trump To Be Banned From Social Media Until After The Election

by Jonathan Turley Peter Greenberger, a former Twitter and Google executive, is calling for the social media accounts of President Donald Trump to be shutdown for the remainder of the election. For those of us who have criticized calls for censorship from Democratic leaders for years, the demand is yet another example of the slippery slope of censorship that awaits this country with increasing regulation of speech on social media. Congressional leaders like House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff have called for labeling and removal of material with some members directly threatening a legislative crackdown. Speaker Nancy Pelosi denounced Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg for resisting speech monitoring and censorship as a matter of free speech. Pelosi lashed out that those who wan...

There They Go Again! Adam Schiff Blames RUSSIA For Biden’s Laptop

by Daniel McAdams Deja vu! Once again those Russians have come through to plant disinformation during a US presidential campaign! This time they are accused of being involved with Biden's son Hunter's laptop. Rep. Adam Schiff claims he's as sure about Russian activity this time as he was sure of Trump collusion with Russia last time. How did that one work out? Also today, White House top Covid advisor Dr. Scott Atlas has his Tweets yanked - more politicization of science? And...the California governor does not want you to sing. How the Media Has Whitewashed FBI Abuses in the Russia Probe

by Ted Galen Carpenter The mainstream media not only continues to parrot the narrative that President Donald Trump is a Russian asset who collaborated with Moscow to steal the 2016 presidential election, but journalists have also minimized or dismissed evidence about FBI abuses during the course of the investigation into those allegations. One point that emerged clearly when Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz issued his report in December 2019 was that the FBI had committed serious violations of its own procedures and basic requirements of due process. The scope and severity of that misconduct have become even more apparent with the passage of time. Although Horowitz did not endorse the Trump White House’s core allegation...

Troops Coming Home from Afghanistan? Depends on Who You Ask.

by Ron Paul There is a lot to cheer about when it comes to most of President Trump's foreign policy statements. He regularly tells us he is ending foreign wars and bringing troops home. But do the people who work for him even listen? It seems as soon as the president makes a strong foreign policy statement, one of his appointees grabs a microphone to explain what the president “really meant.” Earlier this month, President Trump Tweeted that, “we should have the small remaining number of our BRAVE Men and Women serving in Afghanistan home by Christmas!” It was a very encouraging statement. But almost immediately his statement was “clarified” – actually refuted – by two Administration officials. First, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Army Gen. Mark Milley, directly co...

How to kill a thriving metropolis in 7 months: NYC’s Covid-19 failure is a vicious spiral directed by a sadistic political regime

by Helen Buyniski Seven months into the pandemic, as many US states inch back toward "normal," New York is in the grips of a crime wave, reinvigorated lockdowns, and widespread fear of pretty much everything. Thank local government. New York City has lost billions of dollars in tax revenues on tourism, music, art, theatre, restaurant dining, and everything else that once fueled its mammoth economy over the seven-month Covid-19 pandemic shutdown. It’s in worse shape than most US states, and unlike many others, its continued misfortunes are largely of its own making.  The shuttering of the city’s iconic Broadway theaters alone has sent hundreds of thousands out of work and signaled to both wealthy city inhabitants and out-of-town visitors that their cash is better spent elsewh...

Fauci To Trump: ‘No More Rallies!’

by Daniel McAdams The Trump/Fauci feud is heating up, as Fauci is furious about being featured in a campaign ad and Trump slams his pitching and prognostications. Fauci fired back by claiming that Trump's campaign rallies are dangerous virus spreading events. Is this the end for "Deep State" Fauci? Also today...are people getting Covid twice? Plus, a vaccine setback - what does it mean? Watch today's Liberty Report: https://youtu.be/zbRDu2mVio0 Posted with permission from the Ron Paul Institute.

Lockdowns Have Killed What’s Left of the United Nations’ Credibility

by Peter C. Earle Distrust of the United Nations is a feeling that transcends political ideologies. Even many who view the UN as an essential institution gripe about the composition of its councils and its mounting listlessness over the last few decades. From charges of appeasement to accusations of moral relativism and beyond, the UN is regularly decried as an ineffectual circus of multinational bureaucrats, purposely or unwittingly promoting the interests of a global elite and undermining the sovereignty of nations. Conspiracy theorists, rarely inclined to subtlety, see it as a Trojan horse for a New World Order, paving the way for a supranational world government. Nevertheless, many of those complaints (and some of those suspicions, at least circumstantially) are justified. Despi...

Can the Fed End Racism?

by Ron Paul House Financial Services Chair Maxine Waters and Senator Elizabeth Warren have introduced the Federal Reserve Racial and Economic Equity Act. This legislation directs the Federal Reserve to eliminate racial disparities in income, employment, wealth, and access to credit. Eliminating racial disparities in access to credit is code for forcing banks and other financial institutions to approve loans based on the applicants’ race, instead of based on their income and credit history. Overlooking poor credit history or income below what would normally be required to qualify for a loan results in individuals ending up with ruinous debt. These individuals will end up losing their homes, cars, or businesses because banks disregarded sound lending practices in an effort to show the...
